The Effect of Abuse

What is Abuse?

The Holy Bible
The Holy Bible

The dictionary defines abuse as misuse of something or person.

Improper use-- cruelty or violent treatment.

Denying rights is a form of cruelty.

Abuse could be sexual or misuse of power.

Who is an Abuser?

An abuser is someone who gains access to others with the purposes of exploitation and perversion.

Causes of Abuse

It's often said that when people have been victims of abuse, they are most likely to abuse others. The cycle is perpetuated when abusers conceal their activities by threatening victims to prevent exposure. They often hide behind smokescreens, living double lives.

What is Responsible?

For us to fully understand how abuse came about, we must be open to learn the origin of Evil.

The organic source of abuse can be traced to when Evil was first recorded.

As we know from earliest manuscripts handed down to humanity, God instructed Moses to record events from creation. It's there that we see the serpent invade the quiet space that was Adam and Eve's. And because his desire was to control events, he tempted them to disobey God's command.

The fallen humans became susceptible to his evil manipulations and control from the moment they turned from obedience--Genesis chapters 1-4. [The Cain and Abel account].

Satan did not engage Adam and Eve, to have a friendly relationship, but to plant the seed of destruction having failed to impose his evil scheme in heaven.

He could not understand how God could be so powerful, yet loved and allowed choices to His creation.

Before humans were created, the heavenly beings existed--angelic beings.

Satan felt being powerful was in having absolute power and control over the creation, editing every thought and crushing every other that did not align with his, by permitting only what fed into his innate being. To him God's way was in contrast with what he felt power meant.

Effects of Abuse

Abuse has many effects, besides disobedience-- prevent the victim from having a healthy mind and life, unable to obey authority. It creates a mindset that is constantly hiding from reality, having been manipulated and compromised.

The situation is worsened by the use of addictive substances to cover anxiety, unable to build healthy relationships due to exposure to perversive sexual lifestyle.

Is Abuse Preventable?

Yes! Abuse is preventable through Salvation.

Since abusers cultivate a false sense of respectability, to prevent abuse, abusers should be denied what they crave, respectability.

What Satan desired when he entered the Garden was power over all that was created by usurping the authority of God.

Most abusers hold unhealthy authority over those they abuse.

By rewarding with wealth for doing evil, Satan enslaves lives.

In Christ, people desire to honour God, and it's difficult to honour Him without first humbling the heart, taking captive every thought to His obedience.

TESTIMONY:

Sometime around 2005, I was a victim of an evil act that was meant to destroy my soul. Some neighbours presented me with a gift I had no idea had been corrupted.

I found out after eating that what I thought was fish had come alive in my body. From the movement it made, it became clear it was a serpent.

At the time I was already born again, had experienced satanic attacks, but hadn't deep knowledge of demonic matters.

The Holy Spirit raised a standard against the spirit as I spoke Scriptures, reminding myself of God's given promises, holding on to His word that He made me for Himself.

With time, the being shredded into tiny bits as the Holy Spirit destroyed it and I was free.

But before it was destroyed offered me gifts, just as he did with Jesus in the wilderness--Matthew 4.

All were related to sexual perversions, abuse with multiple sexual partners, same sex, minors, everything and anything that stood against godliness.

Most people that belong to Satan dangle temptations along those lines, because of the susceptibility of humans to the cult of sexual perversions and money.

Effect of Abuse on Victims

There's a lasting effect on victims that spans generations. The cruelty or wickedness is not just physical because behind the perpetrator is the spirit. That's the reason the devil goes for younger victims.

Something I learned from my mother, no one is too young to know the love of God. Even if they are unable to make sense of what they are taught, the spirit in the created being is ready, because the spirit is older than the child.

Support and Healing

For victims to heal, the right support has to be in place. They'll have to be surrounded by those with understanding, not feed them to the wolves.

Finally, Jesus is able to set free all held bound.

No power is greater than the power of the Cross that brought humans into relationship in Christ by His Holy Spirit through the washing by the blood.
