THE DANGER OF CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

DOVE

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the resurrected Christ. He is also known as the Third Person, God the Father and the Son.

In Christianity the dove represents the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Hope and Comfort.

During the flood in Noah's time, after he sent out the dove waiting to know if the land had dried, the dove brought an olive branch. A sign of life and hope, that the water had receded--Genesis 8:11.

In the Book of Joel, God promised the outpouring of His Spirit on all people--male and female, young and old-- Joel 2:28-29.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus taught on the work of the Holy Spirit and promised that when He returned to heaven, He would send the Spirit to continue His work on earth--John 16:5-15.

"And since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin."--Hebrews 4:14-15.

Before the coming of the Holy Spirit to all believers in Acts 2, only a few people; the prophets and those gifted for special ministry were given the Spirit in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament, Jesus gives all believers the Holy Spirit to empower them with ability to obey and fulfil the commission to go into the world and make disciples of all nations.

But see how crafty the devil is. The world became a divided place with regional gods and beliefs, and erected barriers that result in persecution and death to believers. Even in the fiery storm, the work of God continues.

On the other hand, most churches suffer deception by having people who belong to secret societies make rules and regulations, as to what is preached and who can preach.

The giving of the Holy Spirit was to empower believers to boldly declare the word of God with supernatural faith. But in places where the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit was forbidden, another spirit took root.

For it is the Spirit that connects the believer directly with God through Christ with supernatural abilities, known as Gifts of the Holy Spirit, through which darkness is exposed by the Presence of God--1Corinthians 12.

#Spiritual Discernment

The Holy Spirit, makes it possible for a believer to operate with special knowledge, through dreams and visions, making the voice of God to be heard with clarity.

Other gifts are languages that enable a believer to speak or interpret a foreign tongue or language they never learned, and share the Gospel. It places the church at an advantage, because they walk in supernatural power, led by the Spirit.

The gifts were to build up and encourage the Body of Christ.

#Resurrection Power

Before the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, there was no church. And even after resurrection, Jesus told believers to wait until they had received the Spirit before going into the world to preach.

Therefore, without the Holy Spirit, the church is powerless. It operates as a group or club of men and women, with no connection to the power source--God the Father and the Son.

After the Holy Spirit was poured out, the fearful disciples became bold and their ministry was with power, and full of faith.

The same people who were unable to make sense of the teachings of Jesus, became fountains of truth, knowledge and power.

#What Changed?

They had the Spirit of the resurrected Christ indwelling them after the outpouring.

The church with the Holy Spirit is not fearful, but able to take a stand for the truth.

Because the church had been given vision of the unseen and knows the Eternal.

#Testimony:

Every believer is saved unto good works. Jesus, before His ascension told His disciples that they would receive power, to be His witnesses-- Acts 1:8.

The power is to enable us do things that are impossible by ordinary human strength.

The abilities the Holy Spirit gives, cannot be learned from human teachers. It's lived by experiencing the Holy Spirit when born again.

It is this power that made it possible for me to witness the events recorded in my book; A Chosen Witness.

God gave the visions and dreams, detailing events over a forty year period to prepare the church for the last days. But unfortunately, most within the church opposed Christ.

#Restoration and Revival

God is restoring hearts and calling people of faith. But we must watchout for deception.

We must call on the help of the Holy Spirit to keep us strong and endure in faith to the end.

Reflecting on the events of the last ten years, the warning is for all to repent and seek the LORD.

For the victims of the terrible crimes around the world, Jesus sees you and says, "Comfort, comfort My people."--Isaiah 40:1.

This is the time for evil people to turn from wickedness, for there's no repentance in the grave.
