IS THERE A SUBSTITUTE FOR CHRIST?

THE HOLY BIBLE
THE HOLY BIBLE

#CHRIST OUR KING

To answer the above question successfully, we'll need to ask ourselves the purpose of faith, or if you like, the purpose of religion.

When God created Israel as a nation, He did not create a political system. He made a group of people who had their Creator and Maker as King. He was Israel's Father and Shepherd with Spiritual Authority and Presence.

His requirement was that they obeyed and lived by faith in Him.

But when Israel decided they wanted to be like the other nations, with human kings and authority; God who allows for free will and free choice, gave the people what they wanted. Just like the fall of Adam and Eve, God knew the mind of the people in advance, as stated in Deuteronomy 17:15. He warned of the consequences of their decision.

The human king, God warned, would make slaves of them and their children.

The king would abuse his power and authority. He would send their children to war, exploit them for his own benefit.

They would be required to toil day and night to provide for the king.

Reading the Scripture and following the stories of the kings of Israel and Judah, we find that the human kings multiplied wives and horses, kings who often stayed back while the people went out to battle and never returned.

#WORD OF GOD

The lesson is that God in Christ, knows what we need ever before we ask. He knows what is best for us. When we sinned in the Garden of Eden, it was not Adam and Eve who asked to be redeemed. All they knew was to run and hide, hoping God would not find them.

This seems to be the way we operate, ignorant of what is best for us while the Enemy puts a fence around us and hems us in for our destruction. To find true help, we need the love and power of a loving Creator to rescue, and make decisions that no other cares or is able to make. God who is the "I AM." Christ is everything we need or will ever need for our existence and peace.

No religion in the world speaks of redeeming humanity, others only speculate on how humans can spend and spill their blood and that of their children to enter 'heaven.'

Returning to the question, is there a substitute for Christ?

For there to be, they would have to put themselves in the right side of history in the Garden of Eden. They would have to be the power that gave life, the power that restores, and the power that gives eternal life. And when life on this earth and the world comes to the end receive us home to heaven.

Therefore, when people recommend religions, presenting them in colourful terms such as peaceful, friendly and good, though nothing to prove them as true. It still remains impossible for them to be creators of life, and position themselves as redeemers by atonement.

Removing Christ as Redeemer is to knowingly dig ones grave and make agreement with death and hell.

The decision is not like fancy dressing for a period, it has everlasting consequences which when made is final and no way out.

The Book of Hebrews warns of the heart being hardened to His voice--Hebrews chapter 4. He is Our High Priest.

The Only One who was worthy to receive the scroll and break the seals and open it. He ransomed us with His Blood to be a Kingdom of priests for our God. We are a Kingdom of priests on earth because Christ sits on His Throne in Heaven having ransomed us to God. Amen--Revelation 5:1-14.
