Hold on You are in Safe Hands

Be encouraged in the LORD. For He has promised, never to leave or forsake us.

If there was ever a time when everything seemed to be working to cause us to stray from God, it is now. As the Bible warned, the enemy is fully aware of the little time he has left and is working out his vicious plans.

#What plan you might ask?

We are all targets of the enemy's anger against God. Something we have failed to teach much as knowledge exposes the work of the devil as most hold back out of fear, not knowing the perfect love of God. We face the enemy's wrath because he targets those who do not belong to his kingdom.

There are Two Kingdoms, that of Light where Jesus is LORD and King or that of Darkness, with Satan as the god and king of this world. The kingdom we belong is known by our lifestyles. Kingdom of Light promotes God's word and obedience to His commands and the kingdom of darkness promotes evil and wickedness in high places.

There is intense pressure against believers as the battle to win souls increases by whatever means by the kingdom of darkness.

Therefore, don't be surprised if those who were once your friend suddenly turn against you, mock your faith and do anything to humiliate you because you believe in Jesus.

One thing worth noting is that there is Only One God who has saved us through His Son Jesus as Moses reminded Israel in Deuteronomy 4:32-40.

There is Satan with his millions of gods and agents to lure people into the path of destruction to worship what Moses warned against in Deuteronomy 4:15-19. Those who serve him believe he has the power to deliver his promises. But what they do not know is that he is incapable of delivering what he promises. He never makes a promise with the intention of keeping. As Deceiver, he works to trap people into destruction. That has been his mission since he entered Eden. But pride keeps him from giving up.

#Hope is Jesus for all who obey

I have met many who say they do not believe in the existence of the One true God. The saddest thing is when they later struggle with the issues of life such as health and death lack hope. When asked to give God a chance at such desperate times confess it was impossible to cross over because they had sworn allegiance. Even some who claim to be atheists turn out by Holy Spirit discernment to practice witchcraft and sorcery.

The truth is, Jesus will never reject you if you come to Him. Take that first step by saying, 'Please Jesus, help me.' He knows you cannot do it yourself. Jesus knows what the devil can do and defeated him on the Cross of Calvary, Jesus as God is the Creator of Satan, reason he runs at the sound of His voice.

Remember that the moment you make the decision in your heart you want Jesus, you are no longer yours. As Psalm 139:4 says, He knows what is in your heart. You become the responsibility of Christ in Whom is all power and authority. He is able to keep you once you have chosen to turn from darkness and give your life to follow Him. It is called repentance.

It will not be easy, but God will give you all the back-up you need in the form of His Holy Spirit and ministering angels who will guide and meet your needs as the LORD teaches you how to live and endure all the daily struggles.

By reading the Bible, you get to know His promises.

#God's faithfulness and unfailing love

When I came to faith by being born again after being in church all my life, I learned what it truly means to have Jesus, the supernatural lifestyle He promised in John 10:10b.

Many years ago during Christmas of 2002, I had gone to drop a present for a friend and as I got to the high street in North Finchley, the rain began to drizzle. I got my umbrella out as I hurried to get back home being already dark as winter brings shorter days.

With the umbrella in one hand, my handbag in the other, I felt a sudden pull as someone tried to snatch my handbag. But tried as he would, he could not take the handbag as it seemed stock to my hand with an iron clinch. As he held on, I lifted my umbrella to his head, and when he saw my action ran.

My fingers held so tightly to the strap that it took an effort to relax and remove them.

#The lesson learned

What the LORD taught me about the situation was that when He holds us in His hand, no power can take that life. He will not leave or forsake any that come to Him.

The night before I had dreamt that my wallet was stollen and I had prayed on waking up that the LORD would prevent the dream from coming true--Deuteronomy 31:8, John 10:28.

God keeps His promises, and has never broken any. His promise to punish evil will be kept on the Day of Judgement.

The enemy may surround us with people who harass, persecute and do all forms of evil against us. We must hold on to Jesus and not give up our faith or compromise with the wicked. For God will judge every evil act.

David who endured horrible attacks from his enemies cried in frustration, "O God, if only You would destroy the wicked. Get out of my life, you murderers!" [Psalm 139:19].

Note, he did not seek to destroy them himself, for he knew the command of God that says we should hand over the battle to Him for vengeance is His. He will repay [Deuteronomy 32:35].

Often those Satan sends against us put pressure in the hope we will fight them, but Jesus calls us to pray for them and love them because in so doing, we place hot coals on their heads.

Never keep a weapon to fight back because such an action will not glorify Christ.

When we patiently wait on Him, with time He will promote us to glory with Him.
