We are living at a time that calls for prayers for nothing seems as it should. What is presented as true one minute can suddenly turn to be false with consequences that affect generations.
#How can we identify Scam?
It is often said that when what you are promised is too good to be true, then pull out and consider the full picture, for it must be a scam.
#But how do you know if you will be Betrayed?
It is hard to know if the people around us are honest with integrity. A life lived watching our backs all the time will only lead to misery. It is difficult to know what drives a person to choose to betray someone they love. It is difficult to sum it up as a character flaw because something deeper could be going on for which the person failed to notice when it took root.
#What can we do to prevent Scams or Betrayals?
The only weapon we have against evil in our world is prayer. It is important to pray for all people and if in a position to make a difference in the lives of people, make decisions that positively impact lives whatever community or race they belong because the world has become a village. What affects someone in a small community thousands of miles away, with time, becomes a problem on our doorstep. It is the reason Jesus gave a parable about the Good Samaritan in which an expert in law asked, "Who is my neighbour?" [Luke 10:25-37.]
In Genesis, God asked Cain about his brother Abel, after Cain had betrayed and killed him. But Cain answered, "I do not know! Am I my brother's keeper?"[Genesis 4:9.]
Our ability to act in ways that harm others without considering the long term consequences upon our world or to us and our families is the reason for much of the destruction we see around us.
Most people use their professional positions to scam or betray the confidence of those whom they are meant to serve and work to silence those who have knowledge to speak up. If your work is to aid in promoting good, but you knowingly promote harmful practices or standards, that should be seen as scam. The truth is, any validated position can be turned to an opportunity for fraud, as the problem is the human heart.
Jeremiah 17:9, KJV says: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?"
In Genesis 6, God saw the wickedness of the human race and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil. [That was after humans had been corrupted by fallen angels. Today intelligent people work tirelessly seeking cooperation with fallen angels which leads to human destruction.]
Holiness and purity is only possible when we live a life that honours our Maker, because He alone is Faithful. He never betrays neither would He give us something that will corrupt or deprive us of the ability for a healthy and peaceful life.
His desire is to help us. But we have to ask in prayer and do what He says.
#My Story of scam
About this time last year, I went on the internet to search for a company that could edit my manuscripts for publication.
After deciding on one, maintained contact by email, for further discussions.
However, later when I spoke with the person on the phone, discovered the heavy Asian accent did not line-up with the English name even though the address given was in London. Something in me queried.
To make the story short, I prayed for understanding and for a right decision. God by His Spirit showed two very clear signs that it was fake. The angel held a fake item I had and raised it before me and a second sign which was that my desire to move on with the manuscripts was blinding me from seeing things as a sheet covered my eyes. But I prayed that God would turn it for good.
I was like the children of Israel who asked Jeremiah to pray and that whatever God said, they would do but failed to comply when the answer was given. In the end, just as the LORD said, I was scammed.
But it taught me a lesson and made me wary of people who present professional faces, speak the language but fail to walk the walk. Sometimes they are people well placed, respectable with academic, medical, religious or socio-political positions but with evil intentions.
We need help from God if we are to live in a world with people whose desire is continuously evil.
Jesus already warned of an increase in betrayal in the last days in Matthew 10:36.
Therefore, let's keep praying. When we allow entrance into the souls things that are impure and unholy, what comes out of such heart will be evil and destructive tendencies.
Jesus said that what defiles a man is what comes out of the heart, because when it pollutes and corrupts the soul, it produces evil--murder, lies, sexual immorality, rebelliousness against all that is good and true-- Matthew 15:18.
