The Knowledge of God is Wisdom

ree

We all desire knowledge. Knowledge of our world, knowledge of self, and loved ones. Above all, the desire to make wise decisions and apply wisdom is the reason we learn and question what we are told and see.

Unfortunately, this ability could disappear from humans if we continue to control how people express themselves and the interests they are free to explore.

Abilities and creativity are restricted when controlled.

Wisdom is a word that appears many times in the Bible.

The Bible doesn't rate academic knowledge as highly as the value placed on knowledge of God in relation to the wisdom of God. Academic knowledge is manmade but wisdom is of God. Because knowledge of God leads to the fear, reverence and honour of the Most High, and that is wisdom.

Through God we have wisdom and knowledge, and gain deep understanding of life.

I have always enjoyed reading and reflecting on Psalm 24. Each time I read, pray for deep knowledge that is new and fresh. More interesting is looking at Psalm 24 and 33 together as both like the rest of the Scriptures speak of the awesome power of God, the earth and the world being His.

Psalm 33:4, says that God spoke everything into existence. Verse 7 says, "He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs."

Most people dispute the six day creation, but if God spoke all things into existence, then He didn't need six days for creation. Maybe the six days was for humans to chew on.

Women are credited with speaking about 20,000 words a day. If the creation could attend such, why do we think it less likely that the Creator could have spoken all we see into existence in six days?

Faith is what we need to believe what we read in the Bible, guided by the Holy Spirit. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, nothing makes sense. Because the Holy Spirit's presence within the believer is what helps with knowledge of God and makes us able to understand as He applies it to our lives. The Holy Spirit being our Teacher.

Psalm 24:7-8, says, "Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter..."

The ancient gates and doors appear to be strong holds that keep people from believing the truth of God.

But when the Word and Power of God break in, strongholds give way, and the King of Glory enters--JESUS is His name, the LORD of heaven's Armies.
