Identifying False Prophets

This is a season to spend in prayer and contemplation seeking knowledge from the throne of grace so we may be guided in truth. The worst dilemma that can confront a person is spend time doing religion only to stand before the Judge of all the earth and hear the words, "You wicked person, depart from Me I never knew you." [Matthew 7:22, in my own words].

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but looses his or her soul? [Mark 8:34-38 and Matthew 16:26]. What is the point of having all the luxury the world can offer, the accolade and fame, only to spend eternity in hell?

Preparing for the return of Messiah is about knowing and keeping His word by living and walking in obedience to His instructions. It is of great importance to guard the soul against falsehood of all kinds by studying the word of God to show ourselves as good disciples of Christ.

How will we know the truth if we have never opened the pages of the Bible or Torah to know the instructions we were given?

If we only read the word and fill our heads with knowledge and don't do what it says, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us [James 1:22].

Therefore, if one teaches the word and is full of knowledge but does not put into practice what he or she teaches, such a teacher is not a disciple.

Anyone who therefore teaches another to stray from the truth of God by watering down the Gospel, adding their own views or subtracting from the inspired word of truth by creating an entirely different gospel or manual, he or she is a deceiver and a destroyer.

In Deuteronomy chapter 13:1-18, Moses in relaying God's instructions to the people warned them of those who in future times would present themselves as prophets or leaders. He said that even if their previous predictions had come true, but they later tell the people to come away and worship another God, one their ancestors had never known, a different god from the One who brought them out of Egypt, they were not to follow such prophets as it would lead them to rebel against the living God [A warning I pray all would heed in this present age, both Jews and Gentiles].

Even if the suggestion is made by friend, spouse or family members, the treatment was to be the same. In a respectful way, walk away and don't be corrupted by the evil. If you have the Spirit of God, you should discern the type of spirit at work. As we come to the end of the world, all systems are being engineered to cause humanity to worship idols and give their souls to the devil making Moses' warning of significant importance.

#Why was God strong in condemning idolatry?

God hates idolatry as it steals the hearts of people to their destruction. Because the end of all who turn to idol worship is destruction, as the devil is not capable of love. He takes their lives and that of their family members, delighting in their suffering and destruction. Moreover the plan of the enemy is rebellion against God to bring all to condemnation by using inventions to corrupt their souls. Moses warned Israel that if they turned to worship other gods in the land they were going in to settle, God would destroy them just as the nations He was throwing out before them.

How can we expect God to create the world then sit back and let another steal and destroy?

First of all it does not make sense that a person would worship something that has no power to create itself or anyone. Idols are human creations and demons are fallen angels.

As the Bible says, those idols have eyes but cannot see, ears but are unable to hear, mouths but cannot speak, hands but cannot touch or handle and legs but cannot walk--dumb things. Those who worship them are just like them. They are carried from place to place. When the worshipers change location, carry the gods to the new location because the idol is not able to move. They cannot give life to those who worship them as the object is manipulated by demonic forces that occupy the idols which then possesses both worshiper and the object of worship.

I live on a street lined with trees. I remember how strange it was the first time I saw grains left under a tree as offering even though this is a 21st century society with technology and intelligent people. The same people would be the first to say God does not exist and be offended by faith in Jesus. I had noticed the offerings from time to time, a pagan ritual.

Sometime last year, prayed for discernment. The LORD took me to view the tree by Holy Spirit leading. Under the tree was a giant-like figure, obviously a spirit, surrounded by people.

On waking up, directed prayers against the gathering.

I no longer see food left under the tree.

#Why would anyone assume that the worship of such beings lead to God?

Demons cannot give life, but infuse themselves into humans to stay alive in the world by evil processes that are not worth talking about which those who practice try to hide and are ashamed when found out as they feed on the blood of the innocent they make contact with.

A few days ago as I sat in a conservatory somewhere watched as a fly was caught by cobwebs. As it struggled unable to free itself, a spider appeared and released venom which paralysed the fly. I watched to my amazement as it then sucked life out of the fly. At the end, only a flat cardboard-like piece was left of a once robust fly. It then rolled it to an easy size and took it away into its hiding.

Not long after, another fly came and got caught as I sat reading. By the time I knew it, the spider was out again to follow up just as the last. How clever? I thought. But this time, I decided to be more clever as I stopped the spider and made it pay. I then cleared the cobwebs.

It reminded me of what I had noticed the ungodly do as they suck life out of the innocent.

In Psalm 27:2 [KJV], David says, "When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell." The circle continues until God puts a complete end to their wickedness. Therefore, anyone who encourages such evil is wicked and will face God's punishment.

To be free from the evil, Moses said in Deuteronomy 13:18, NLT, "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you listen to His voice and keep all His commands that I am giving you today, doing what pleases Him."

Learn to love only the true and living God and enjoy your Creator.

May the LORD help us be bold and courageous in holding onto Him, as belief in Truth is no longer promoted but anything that makes people happy. Those who stand against the lies are identified as enemies, silenced or dealt with mercilessly. They fear those with God's light as it exposes their nature and wickedness.

Jesus said we must not be afraid of those who can kill the body, but have no power to destroy the soul. Luke 12:4-5, NLT, "Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, He's the One to fear."

2 Timothy 1:7, also says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Prophets are seen as people with ability to see the future as the Spirit of God enables them. They are watchmen and women who because of the gift the Holy spirit, could discern spirits and lovingly warn others of the consequences of straying from God's path.

But we have been blinded by lies while being deceived that it is enlightenment to believe in anything, and are told that demons no longer exist as humanity is being lured back into pagan worship and idolatry, through schemes invented to distract from the truth.

Asaph in Psalm 73:3,17, said he was envious of the wicked as they waxed strong and prosperous, until the LORD made him see their end.

In Psalm 37:1-2, David said, "Do not fret because of those who are evil, or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they soon wither, like the green plants they will soon die away."

Trust in the Living God, for the reward of the righteous is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.
