CHILDREN, AN INHERITANCE

The world would not be the same if there were no people to occupy, put their stamp and make it prosperous. Without people, the world would be filled with wild animals and civilization something of the past.

For creativity to continue, God created humans in His own liking or image. He instructed humanity to multiply and fill the earth. He planted a garden by putting seeds in the ground. Seeds that served as food for humans and animals. And to ensure that everything continued as He intended, appointed Times and Seasons.

The cloud provided rain to water the earth so crops can grow and provide grain for farmers, herbs that heal humanity, animals to provide meat and clothing.

It is interesting when we look back, that the first clothing was made by God killing an animal to clothe Adam and Eve--Genesis chapters 1-3.

#Children source of hope and future --Psalm 127:3-5

God showed us by example when He created children to fill the earth--that a world with future, is a world with life.

Even when we failed Him, He came seeking for us, the Good Shepherd; and reconciled us back to Himself through Jesus--John 3:16.

Cultures differ, and what means wealth to one, may not mean anything to another. The African culture was built on the premise that a person was rich, not by the amount in the bank, as there were no banks. But by the number of life they provided for, be it their biological offspring or the needy in the community.

Therefore, people took pride in kindness to others. They were protective of women, because like the earth, they carried the future.

It is with sadness that we find our world deteriorating to a level that devalues life, especially the life of children.

Without women and children, a society has no future. If no structure is put in place to train, discipline and encourage growth, decay sets in and what was meant to be a cultured God fearing community wears itself out by destructive pursuits, lacking creativity.

We must go back to viewing children as needing protection and every life as precious worthy of respect.

Failing in our God given responsibility is to fail humanity and draw a curtain on history.

#Humans have no regard for God

The Book of Proverbs encourages us to seek wisdom.

Whatever we seek to achieve, without God, all our efforts are like a person trying to catch air in the hand.

The Bible says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life." Proverbs 9:10-12.
