Divine Promises-Teaching on Truth

Updated: Jun 1, 2025

The world longs for truth in an age where people have created their own truth while rejecting that of God. Truth to many is just what makes them popular and acceptable to those they view as important, to be liked and accepted. Anything becomes acceptable for as long as they don't have to stand alone or be labelled with unacceptable words by the world.

In Deuteronomy chapter 1:17, Moses reminded the leaders of their responsibility to the people. He told them to be sincere in making decisions and should not favour one against the other by being afraid of them. The same way they dealt with the poor, they were to deal with the rich because the decision was not theirs but God's.

#Leaders fear to make right decisions or speak truth

Tell the truth and leave the consequences to God.

In 1 Samuel 15:24, king Saul fearful of the people disobeyed God's command while obeying people, and that led to his destruction and that of his family. In the rush to impress them, he offered a sacrifice that was not his to do when he had already been told by prophet Samuel to wait for him and not to keep any profane thing from the battle.

There are those who hope to offer sacrifices for 'redemption' when God has already offered a Sacrifice for the sin of humanity.

The nations that were being destroyed worshiped idols, something that should serve as warning for us today as God has made a way for all humanity to be reconciled to the living God.

#How can we discern deception?

We need the Holy Spirit's guidance.

We are at a point in history that the Bible warned, time when deception would be so finely-tuned that even the righteous would be deceived if care is not taken. As many are falling for voices they view as important though with false identities, as their words and actions betray them, it is easy to see how that prophecy is sounding true.

Deception and lies have become accepted as truth; good is seen as evil and evil good.

Where was it ever thought as a good thing that people would prefer to make themselves more like animals, uphold a lower standard than accept the personality as created in God's image?

God has shown Himself as compassionate and long suffering, slow to get angry, not paying evil for evil or calling evil good, because genuine children of God can discern the spirits. Those who truly belong to Him are known by fruits that present them as God's children--righteousness as those led by the Holy Spirit.

Moreover, Jesus knew that in the last days many would be deceived as agents of Satan would invent evil schemes to deceive by hijacking Christianity and the Jewish identity for their evil agenda as recorded in the Book of Revelation.

Therefore, we are not God's by our personal claims but by our fruits.

When we reject God's nature and prefer to hate and deceive one another to justify our lust for things and position; evil desires that war against God and create conflict instead of loving God and our neighbours by being humble, we live a lie.

In the Garden, God created two humans, Adam and Eve. The account of the Garden is about God fellowshipping with the two humans until Evil entered in the form of Satan who caused them to rebel by sinning.

Satan as a serpent tricked them away from the right path, a story familiar to most religions though with a twist in some cases. But God in His mercy promised to bring us back to the right path by giving the Offspring of the woman who would bring redemption and reconcile humanity to the Father's intimate love. The twist in most religions have been inserted to make it easy to reject the Person of Jesus Christ as engineered by false prophets.

#All humanity came from Adam and Eve

If all humanity came from Adam and Eve, and God promised to restore all through the Offspring of the Woman right in the Garden, why are some saying that any other way can lead humanity to God?

The desire for God is reason there is an explosion of religions, gods and beliefs around the world because all people are seekers of a loving God. By worshipping nature admiring what they observe, they prove a hunger for more. At the birth of Jesus, wisemen from the East and shepherds worshiped Him, because they had been living expectantly for the fulfilment of the promise.

#Therefore, why worship nature when you can worship the One who created nature?

It is like saying that when your boat sinks, anything that floats will keep you alive. Leaves, paper, plastics float, but they will not keep you alive.

Therefore, if the Maker made a promise in the Garden to save and redeem what the Evil one came to steal, kill and destroy, what makes us thing that by choosing our own means we can find reconciliation with God or find a way of salvation by the various religions and beliefs?

#Will the One who humbled Himself to provide a Way accept all other ways?

Some in the church seem to be silent while the Devil throws his trap once again upon the world to overturn the only means of Salvation and Redemption provided by the God whom they are all seeking. Knowing the truth and keeping silent means that as church, we become complicit in this evil scheme.

We have to make up our minds what we want, whether a life in heaven or hell as all these religions promise heaven but only one is the Way, LORD and KING in heaven and earth.

Reason Jesus said in John 8:31-32, "If you remain faithful to My teachings , you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." The truth has to be studied with wisdom and understanding as taught by the Holy Spirit.

It is a time of great deception--clothing in lies while pretending to be clothed in truth drawing people away from the truth to destruction. Only hell is capable of such lies and hate.

Time does not change the Truth, but time becomes shorter as hell is a reality without salvation.
