WHEN GOD CALLS HE ALSO COMMISIONS

Whom the LORD calls, He also prepares.
The call of God leads the believer along places, to face challenges that the natural person would never have dared to venture. Instead of an easy ride, and a walk in the park, a valley surrounded by enemies.
A necessary experience for spiritual growth and knowledge; training in wisdom and discernment.
The call and commission, involves training that can only be learned supernaturally.
But gifts necessary for performing the tasks with the Holy Spirit as the Teacher.
The first part of the training is in building a close intimacy with the LORD. The life of one called is not about serving the Master, but being so intimately related that He orchestrates events and uses the believer to get results.
Often people push themselves to serve and suffer burnout because human spirit is at work.
#Supernatural Training
It means that for the believer to be fully prepared in the supernatural, they will be exposed to situations which on the outside might look dangerous for anyone operating in the flesh, leaving the person to question their salvation.
In most situations the believer might appear helpless, as if they had been abandoned by the LORD.
But it deepens knowledge of the Saviour's love, and the supernatural realm, till the believer has nothing to depend on but a complete and total reliance and surrender to the LORD--perfect love casts out fear-1 John 4:18.
Decisions made are not under the control of the believer, because the disciple is led by the Spirit to achieve God's determined plan.
Matthew 4, saw the Spirit at work when Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan.
There are also examples in the Old Testament where prophets where sent into impossible situations, and in most cases, made to give up their personal plans, like Hosea.
#How can We be Used of God?
God chose us ever before we were born. He mapped out the path for each person, and even where the enemy hijacked and took the person off course, God rescued from the wrong path--John 10:4, the sheep hear and know His voice.
The important thing is in being open and humble by surrendering. Not hard-hearted or too proud to say one is wrong and in need of God's help.
I will never forget a discipleship class in the eighties, where the pastor said the place to start was in letting God have His way, by inviting Him to take control. 'Your will LORD, not mine be done.'
At the time it sounded radical. But we soon learned. Because as humans, we want to hold on to control, and God cannot do His work if we are struggling with His Spirit for control.
#Preparation and Training
It's for God's glory that we accomplish what He called us to do. Therefore, He will not use a believer for a task for which they have not been fully trained and tested.
He maintains frequent communication throughout the training, taking from one trial to another until the lesson is learned. At the end of the training, a final test is presented to ensure readiness.
God has to take steps to get the disciple ready because the enemy's plan is to derail and prevent.
The enemy is restless, not wanting God's plans to succeed and takes it out on believers.
A good example is Job. The attack on Job was not because he did something wrong, it was Satan's anger and envy, having failed time after time to have his way.
In the Last Days, God is giving him a few years to do what he likes, but with limited power before his destruction. But we will be sustained in God's love.
#What should we do?
We must submit humbly to the LORD and let Him work in and through us to achieve His plans and purposes. It means giving up our desire to build our personal kingdom, and seek first His Kingdom. And that could mean giving up our plans for family, professional career or business opportunities and be prepared to wash another's feet.
Any attempt to hold on to our desired goals could result in frustrations and emotional breakdown.
There's peace when God takes control and His will flows through us by His Spirit.
